Treads, Risers and Nosings

We make a range of stair components to match our flooring products. This cannot be done by machine in most cases. Where necessary we hand finish our components to get a perfect match.
Treads may be single layer where the timber thickness allows it, or laminated for heavy treads used in open staircases. Where laminated we use high-quality glue from Japan that is both strong and free from chemical emissions.
We produce various profiles and finishes in stair nosings to suit the floorboards to which they are being matched. We have much experience in producing wire brushed and band sawn finishes in lime wash or other complex effects for architectural jobs.
